Financial Aid Policy

The Galloway School is committed to admitting qualified students regardless of a family's ability to pay the full cost of tuition.

Philosophy Statement

The purpose of financial aid is to enhance and enrich the Galloway community and educational experience by financially supporting students who are particularly well suited for Galloway and who are challenged to attend due to financial limitations. Financial aid supports Galloway's commitment to inclusiveness as articulated in the school's Diversity Policy Statement.

Policy Guidelines

Learning Levels

Galloway accepts financial aid applications for grades K-12. The school may balance aid differently across levels in any given year.

Award Amounts/Limits

Every family receiving aid is asked to pay some portion of the tuition. If a family has multiple children receiving aid from the school, siblings' awards may not necessarily equal the same percentage of each student's gross tuition.

Payment History

While financial aid awards are need-based, a family's payment history may be taken into consideration as well.

Aid for Items Beyond Tuition

As Galloway considers participation in school-sponsored activities an essential part of school life, financial aid recipients will receive an additional award, capped at $350 per student, to be used for activities not covered by tuition. The percentage of the $350 activity allowance awarded will equal the percent that the financial aid award is of that student's gross tuition. Amounts not used in an academic year cannot be carried over to another year.

Financial Aid Deadline

The financial aid application AND ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS are due February 17, 2019.
