Community

Unified by Purpose

The heart of the Galloway experience lies in relationships. Students, teachers, parents, coaches, and staff are all vital members of the community.

We all consider ourselves lifelong learners and support each other in that endeavor. We learn together. We respect each other. We celebrate each other. And we care for one another.

Rather than relying on rigid systems of discipline, we emphasize trust, compassion, integrity, courage, and perseverance. From the earliest grades, students are guided to understand that freedom and responsibility go hand in hand. As they grow, they’re given increasing autonomy to help them develop into confident, capable individuals ready to navigate a world beyond Galloway.

Leadership and service are part of daily life here. Whether in classrooms, creative spaces, or community initiatives, students are encouraged to explore their interests, make meaningful contributions, and discover how they can have a positive impact on each other and on the broader world.

Community Engagement

At Galloway, community is more than a concept, it's a lived experience that connects students, families, alumni, and educators across generations. Through a vibrant calendar of events and partnerships, Community Engagement fosters meaningful involvement at every stage of school life.

Families participate in book discussions led by faculty, where thought-provoking themes bring together parents, teachers, and alumni. Alumni stay deeply connected, with more than 29 graduates currently choosing Galloway for their own children. For the 2025-26 school year, we have 37 alumni children attending. The school celebrates this legacy through "Generations at Galloway," an annual recognition of their enduring commitment.

Special events, such as an alumni and alumni parent reception at the High Museum of Art, offer opportunities for intellectual and cultural enrichment. Each Valentine’s Day, former teachers return to campus for a beloved reunion, reflecting the lasting bonds formed at Galloway.

Our partnerships also extend beyond campus. Galloway is proud to collaborate with the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival, giving students access to curated films that enrich classroom learning. As part of the ninth-grade political science curriculum, all freshmen hear firsthand from a speaker through the Georgia Innocence Project, offering a powerful, real-world perspective on justice and civic responsibility.

Whether you're a current student, an alum, a parent, or a teacher, there's a place for you in Galloway’s thriving community.
