Galloway Theatre Company presents: Emma! A Pop Musical

This is Mika’s second year working with Technical Theater. This year, they have contributed to the digital design of the show as a CL student and had a great time with the Company! If they were a song from the show, they would be King of Anything.

This is Morghan's 4th show at Galloway and it has been a great experience! Despite it being partially online, it’s been very fun for her and allowed her to meet so many new people! If Morghan was a pop song from Emma, she’d be Unwritten.

This is Ashlyn’s fourth year in the theatre company. She has been apart of 6 shows. 4 of the two shows were with the technical department. She's very proud of all the work she's done and sad that her high school years are coming to an end. If she was a pop song from this show, it would be Roar by Katy Perry because of the empowerment represented.

This is Aven's last show working with the Technical Theatre. She has absolutely loved being a part of Galloway's Theatre productions and helping to make the costumes. If she was a pop song from this show, she would be Whatta Man.

This is Hayden’s third show and he is happy to be continuing this unique experience at the Galloway School. He is extremely grateful for the faculty and peers that make the tech experience wonderful each and every day. If he were a pop song from the show he would probably be Unwritten.

This is Luke’s 4th show acting in a Galloway Production and he is looking forward to two more successful shows. He is very thankful for the faculties ability to work online and in-person, making Emma a very memorable experience. If he were a pop song from the show he would probably be Turn the Beat Around.

This is Carter’s 1st time in one of Galloway’s wonderful productions. This year he has played the guitar in the pit orchestra. He thought this year’s music was very fun to learn and play. If Carter was a song from this year's musical, he would be Turn the Beat Around.

This is Jack’s tenth and final show. He has loved the Galloway Theatre company and its community, and he will be sad to leave. If he was a pop song from Emma, he would be Unwritten.

This is Margaret’s 6th show at Galloway, and she has loved being in this show! She was overjoyed that the Galloway theatre department still maintained its supportive community despite doing an online show. If Margaret was a pop song from Emma, she would be Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

This is Koby’s 6th show at Galloway, and he is slightly disappointed that this is his last year, but he’s glad for all the time he spent here. If he were a pop song from the show, he would be Turn the Beat Around.

This is Jeremy’s 2nd time in one of Galloway’s wonderful theater productions. This year he has played trombone in the pit orchestra. He thought this year’s music was super fun to play and learn. If Jeremy was a pop song from this year's musical, he would be Turn the Beat Around.

This is Ella’s sixth show at Galloway, and although this one is very different from the other, it’s still just as fun! If she had to pick a song from this year’s musical, it would probably be Whatta Man.

This is Simon’s 3rd show at Galloway, and he is very glad to have been able to partake in technical theatre. He would like to thank the rest of the tech crew for making the experience great. If he were a pop song from the show, he would be Unwritten.

This is Nate’s 2nd show at Galloway, and he is very excited to play Mr. Knightly, and loved getting to know everyone in the cast. If he was a pop song from the musical he would be “Things I’ll Never Say.”

This is Peyton’s 5th show at Galloway, and she is overjoyed to portray Miss Bates this year! She would like to thank her family and friends for always being supportive of her. If she was a pop song from this musical, she would be “Unwritten.”

This is Katie’s thirteenth and final show costuming at Galloway. She loved working with her fellow techies during this weird year and will greatly miss the community. If she was a song from the musical, she would be I Wanna Dance with Somebody. 

This is Ariana’s 5th show at The Galloway School and she can’t wait for more to come! She was thrilled to play Emma and act and sing alongside her cast-mates. If Ariana could pick a pop song from the show it would be the iconic “Stay (I Missed You)” by Lisa Loeb.

This is Jonah’s 4th show at The Galloway School. He has loved working with his fellow actors in this new experience and is so excited to play Mr. Weston this year. If Jonah were a song from the musical, he would be Unwritten.

Luke is new to Galloway this year and “Emma” is the first Galloway theater production they worked on. They contributed to filming and helped make props for “Emma”. They are excited to work on all different aspects of theater while at Galloway. If they were a pop song from this show, it would be “Straight Up.”

This is Kayla’s 5th show at Galloway. She had a great time dancing and singing with the rest of the company this year and cannot wait to see what will come next for the Galloway Theater Company. If Kayla were a pop song from this show, it would be “Unwritten.”

This is Anna's sixth and final show with the Galloway Theater Company. She is extremely sad to be leaving the company, but she will hold all the special memories and moments she made with her casts close to her heart forever. If she was a pop song from this show, it would be "Be My Baby."

This is Matthew’s first time ever in Pit Orchestra and his first time playing music for a production. If he was a pop song from this show, it would be “How Will I Know.”

This is Katie’s first year in pit orchestra playing cello, and she loves the experience of playing with many other talented musicians. She is grateful to have this great opportunity to be a part of Galloway’s production. If Katie was a pop song from this show, it would be “Heartbreaker.”

This is Tyler’s first year in the pit orchestra. He plays guitar and enjoys playing together with other people. He was very interested in how the musical would be produced during COVID, and is excited to see how it turns out. If Tyler was a pop song from this show, he would be "Strait Up."

This is Anna’s eighth and final show with Galloway. She’s sad to leave the company, but she’s excited to see how it continues to grow and change. If she was a pop song from this show, she’d be "Bad Bad Crush."

This is Isaac’s 4th time playing in the pit orchestra. He has had a lot of fun this year and is excited to see the final product. If Isaac was a pop song from this show, he would be "Turn the Beat Around."

This is Allison’s first year in tech. She’s had a lot of fun both online and in person working on shows, and she’s excited to see what we’re doing next year. If I was a pop song from this show, it would be "Unwritten."

Emma is Aidan’s third production playing in Pit. He is proud of the work him and his peers have put into the show and can’t wait to see the final product! If he was a pop song from this show, he would be "King of Anything" (in terms of individuality!)

This is Davis’ ninth and final show. She is sad to go, but incredibly thankful for the opportunities and memories of the last four years and can not wait to see what The Galloway Theater Company has in store for the future. If Davis was a pop song from this show she would be "Turn the Beat Around!"  

This is Nolan’s third and final Upper Learning musical. He’s had a great time playing the flute in the pit orchestra, and even though it’s sad that the show will be online this year he’s had a really great time recording it! -- If I was a pop song from this show, it would be "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun."

This is Audrey’s third show at Galloway. She joined tech as a freshman and has enjoyed her time with the crew ever since and has been extremely grateful to have a show to work on this spring. If she were a song from the show, it would be "King of Anything."

This is Griffen’s 4th show. He started tech in Sophomore year and has loved it ever since. If Griffen was a song from Emma, he would be "Turn the Beat Around."

Ariana is very invested in the fine arts. They play the saxophone, bass guitar, participate in chorus, and even join the theatre company for Technical Theatre after school. They have loved working with the crew online this year and hope to return next year for the Spring Musical!--If they were a pop song from this show, it would be "Heartbreaker."

Jackson has been in one show during his 8th grade year. His favorite part of the process is getting recognition for his hard work. If he was a song from the show, he would be "How Will I Know!"

This is Andrew’s third and final show in the Pit Orchestra playing saxophone. He has loved playing in each show, and his playing has improved so much! If he was a pop song from the show, he would be "Straight Up."

This is Emily's sixth show at Galloway, and she has enjoyed everything about each one of them! Her favorite part about this production was adapting to the virtual production method, and learning what it was like to film a show instead of performing it live. If she were a pop song from this show, she would probably be "Stay (I Missed You)!"

Meg has really enjoyed being a part of her fourth Galloway Theater production. Her favorite parts about this show were getting to choreograph a few of the dances, experiencing an online show, and getting to make memories! If I was a pop song from the show, I would be "Unwritten." 

This is Alex’s fourth production with the Galloway Theater Company. If he were a pop song from the show he would be "Unwritten."

This is Zac’s first time being in the pit orchestra. If he were a pop song from the show, it would be "Heartbreaker."

This is Libby’s thirteenth and final show as Galloway’s stage manager. She has loved getting to be a part of this community and getting the opportunity to train two wonderful assistant stage managers. If she were a pop song from this show, she would be "You Can’t Hurry Love."

Audrey was delighted to be in her 5th musical at Galloway. She remembers being in elementary school performing in the multipurpose room, she cannot wait to be back on stage next year (hopefully). If she were a pop song from this show, she would be "How Will I Know."

This is Natalie’s first time working on an Upper Learning production at Galloway. She loved the new opportunity and had an amazing time as one of the assistant stage managers this year. She is looking forward to future productions and is excited to stage manage again next year! If she were a song from Emma, she would be "Unwritten!"

This is Kathryn’s fourth show at Galloway and she really enjoyed being in it! Her favorite part was definitely the few in person aspects the cast was able to participate in. If she was a song from Emma she would be "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!"

This is Owen’s fifth production at Galloway. He loved being able to perform face to face again! He can’t wait until full stage shows next year (hopefully!) and in the meantime loved working with everyone on Emma. If he was any pop song from the show he would be "Unwritten!"

This is Grace’s first time working on a Galloway upper learning production! She loved having the chance to be an assistant stage manager and learn all of the work that goes behind the scenes to produce a musical. If she was a pop song in Emma, she would be "Unwritten!"

This is Fritz’s 4th galloway upper learning production and his 7th overall production at galloway, he loved having the chance to meet so many unforgettable people and he remembers his first show spelling bee like it was yesterday. If he were a song in this show it would have to be "I Want to Dance with Somebody."

This is Liza’s third Galloway show and her first with the Upper Learning company. She has been so excited to join this group and put on such a fun show in a new way! If she were a pop song from this show, she would be "Straight Up."

This is Jonah’s 7th Galloway production. He has loved meeting so many new friends and is so happy to be performing together again. He has loved the opportunity to work with all of his peers. If he was a song from the show, he would be "Turn the Beat Around."

This is Olivia’s 1st year at Galloway. This is also her first year playing in a pit orchestra, overall. She has played the cello for about 5 years and was really looking forward to participating in the production this year. Olivia hopes next year she will get the full experience of being in a pit during the musical. If she were a song from this musical, she would be "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun."

Megan is proud to help build this musical with everyone. She is excited to have learned about drones and Soundtrap and Zoom and virtual backgrounds. Her growth mindset has been strengthened at every turn!! So because of that, she would be “Turn the Beat Around”-- because this year and this directing process has been so “turned around!”

Marele has loved bringing this show to life whether it was on zoom or on campus. Thanks to the creative team, actors, crew & musicians for their dedication to this piece of work. If she was a pop song from this show, Marele would be "Unwritten" because if she’s learned anything from this year, it’s that we don’t know what our future holds. It’s a blank page. And the rest is still unwritten. 

Sally enjoyed working with the amazing cast, dedicated crew, and talented creative team on this production. Imagining dances that could easily adapt from in person to zoom was a new, fun challenge!  She is proud of everyone for their positivity and perseverance throughout the whole process. If Sally could be any song from this show, she would choose "Brave" because everyone has been brave this year.

Mrs. P has had a blast getting to know the UL Musical Theatre students through EMMA! She is grateful for the students’ perseverance and work ethic, and she is proud of the production team for leaning in to the newness and messiness of every aspect of our show. If she could be any song, she would be “Brave,” because we have all been brave this year. Congratulations, everyone, on your incredible bravery through this journey, and creating art in the process!

This is Ms Whalen’s third year at Galloway, and she has enjoyed all the new ways she got to work with the technicians this year. The song from Emma the speaks to her the most is “Roar” because she feels like a champion. 

Costuming this show in Covid times meant no alterations and no hands-on makeup or hair backstage, but it was still a lot of fun finding hot pink and teal pieces, including masks! Misao is proud of the technicians and actors for pushing through this new way of making theatre! She would choose "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," because she had fun working with the dynamic all female Creative Team to bring this show to the screen.

This is Mr. Solammon’s 3rd year as Band Director and 3rd musical at Galloway. He is honored that one of his duties is to conduct the amazing, dedicated musicians of Pit Orchestra each spring. If Mr. Solammon were a pop song from this show, it would be "How Will I Know." (No other choice than, Whitney, baby!) Congratulations to everyone for bringing this score to and story life!
