The purpose of financial assistance is to enhance and enrich the Galloway community and educational experience by financially supporting students who are particularly well suited for Galloway and who are challenged to attend due to financial limitations. Financial assistance supports Galloway's commitment to inclusiveness as articulated in the school's Diversity Policy Statement. All of our financial assistance awards are based on demonstrated need which is the calculated difference between the amount a family can be expected to contribute to the cost of their student’s education and the amount of annual tuition. We do not provide scholarships for academic, athletic, or artistic merit.
Financial Assistance Process
Galloway uses School and Student Services (SSS), sponsored by Community Brands, to process financial assistance applications. SSS calculates an estimated amount a family can contribute to educational expenses, which is used as a starting point in making fair and objective financial decisions. To be eligible for consideration for financial assistance, families must complete the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) and must supply all requested information and supporting documentation by the deadline. The PFS and required documents can be submitted anytime after October 2, 2019. Families must apply for assistance annually.
Tax Forms Required/Deadlines
For the 2020-21 year, the PFS and supporting schedules (2018 1040s, W2s, K-1s, business returns, mortgage statements, etc.) are due no later than February 17, 2020. All 2019 returns and supporting schedules must be uploaded by May 1, 2020 if enrolling at Galloway. All families that report income from an S-Corp or Partnership must furnish a copy of all K-1s. All parents who hold at least a 25% share in an S-Corp, Partnership or Farm must provide a copy of their business tax return, including all schedules.
