Financial Assistance

The Galloway School is committed to admitting qualified students regardless of a family's ability to pay the full cost of tuition. Galloway awarded more than $2.0 million in financial assistance to 14% of our students in grades PreK-12 for the 2022-23 school year. There are a wide range of families who qualify, from those who can afford only minimal tuition to those who can afford almost full tuition. Family annual incomes of up to $200,000 may qualify for financial assistance consideration, and awards range from $1,800 to $27,700.

Philosophy Statement

The purpose of financial assistance is to enhance and enrich the Galloway community and educational experience by financially supporting students who are particularly well suited for Galloway and who are challenged to attend due to financial limitations. Financial assistance supports Galloway's commitment to inclusiveness as articulated in the school's Diversity Policy Statement. All of our financial assistance awards are based on demonstrated need which is the calculated difference between the amount a family can be expected to contribute to the cost of their student’s education and the amount of annual tuition. We do not provide scholarships for academic, athletic, or artistic merit.

Financial Assistance Process

Galloway uses School and Student Services (SSS), sponsored by Community Brands, to process financial assistance applications. SSS calculates an estimated amount a family can contribute to educational expenses, which is used as a starting point in making fair and objective financial decisions. To be eligible for consideration for financial assistance, families must complete the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) and must supply all requested information and supporting documentation by the deadline. The PFS and required documents can be submitted anytime after September 1, 2022. Families must apply for assistance annually.

Tax Forms Required/Deadlines

For the 2023-24 year, the PFS and supporting schedules (2021 1040s, W2s, K-1s, business returns, mortgage statements, etc.) are due no later than October 28, 2022 for returning families and February 17, 2023 for new families. All 2022 returns and supporting schedules must be uploaded by July 14, 2023 if enrolling at Galloway. All families that report income from an S-Corp or Partnership must furnish a copy of all K-1s.
