Varsity Basketball Teams Receive All-Region Honors, Make School History

For the first time in school history, the boys basketball team was named the region champions for 5A-Private and finished their season with an undefeated region record. The Scots will head to the state tournament for the fourth consecutive year and are currently the #1 seed for the region tournament. 

Anthony Arrington Jr. ‘22 was named Player of the Year for the All-Region 5-A Private team for the second year in a row. Quentin Alterman ‘22 was named to the 1st Team All-Region, also for the second year in a row. Bradley Banner ‘22 was named to the 3rd Team All-Region, and Sean Simmons ‘22 received an Honorable Mention for All-Region. 

The girls basketball team continues to dominate their region as well. Kyla Cain ‘23 and Tianna Thompson ‘24 were both named to the 1st Team All-Region. Allison Hoffmann ‘23 was named to the 2nd Team All-Region. Jasmine Baxter ‘25 was named to the 3rd Team All-Region, and Kailyn Fields ‘23 received an Honorable Mention for All-Region. The girls team was in a three-way tie for second place and won the coin flip to secure 2nd place. This is the first time in school history the girls have finished top 3 in the region.
