UL Students Make Galloway Debate History
Last week, the team of Charlotte Dinerman '26 and Nora Perez-Rubio '25 qualified for the National Debate Coaches Association National Championship, ranking them among the best of over 1,400 teams who competed in policy debate across the country. The invitation to compete is a recognition of Charlotte and Nora's success over the course of the year, including elimination debate appearances at national competitions hosted by Stanford University and the University of Kentucky.
"This is the first time in the school's history that a team has qualified to nationals. I could not be more proud of Charlotte and Nora and cannot wait for them to have the opportunity to compete in mid-April," said Coach Clay Stewart.
