UL Student Advances to State Poetry Out Loud Competition

UL Student Advances to State Poetry Out Loud Competition

Rukariro Mawokomatanda ‘24 represented Galloway last Friday at the Regional Poetry Out Loud Competition at the Rich Theater at the Alliance Theater in Midtown. Ru recited "In Praise of My Bed" by Meredith Holmes and  "I, Too" by Langston Hughes and advanced to the state competition which will be held on March 14.

Due to an Excursion Travel scheduling conflict, Addie Rosenberg could not attend, and Ru repped Galloway with poetry pride. A total of 14 students from 14 schools across metro Atlanta participated in the Regional Competition, and only eight advanced to the State Competition.

Congratulations, Ru!
