Third Graders Go Global with International Pen Pals

Students in Early Learning recently had the chance to make friends from 9,000 miles away, thanks to a very special Galloway connection: 3rd grade teacher Liz Rathore’s sister Susan Giles also teaches third grade at The International School of Bangkok.

Our students wrote letters and made paintings for their new friends, honing their writing skills while also learning about the importance of cultural competency. Mrs. Rathore delivered the goods on her Spring Break trip to visit her sister in Thailand, much to the delight of Mrs. Giles’ class!
