Congratulations to our volleyball and softball teams on advancing to the first round of the state playoffs!
This is the third year in a row our softball team has made it to the playoffs. The Scots were able to secure a position in the state playoffs for the 3rd year in a row with victories over St. Francis and North Cobb Christian. The team has been led by impressive performances on the pitching mound by Violet Kottke '24. Offensively, Audrey O’Rourke '22 and Nia Junod '22 have been on fire at bat. The first round of the state tournament will be Wednesday, October 13, at 4 PM and 6 PM at Mt. De Sales.
The varsity volleyball team secured their spot in the state playoffs with a victory over Mt. Vernon, the team ranked number 1 in the region! Lily Duran '23 leads with most kills (85). Lily and Zoey Horn '23 are tied for most aces (37), Morghan Belt '24 leads with most blocks (75), Sariah Robbins '23 with 237 assists, and Chase Buffington '23 with the most digs (270). The volleyball team currently has 20 wins, breaking the volleyball record for the number of wins in a season.
