Comprised of 15 students (and continuing to grow!), our Mock Trial team has had a stellar showing thus far this school year. In November, the team placed 1st in their division in the Empire Mock Trial Competition and 2nd in the international Empire Galaxy Championship Round. In their February showing, Owen Stone '22, Diya Gundlapalli '23, and Margaret Edmonds '23 were awarded Outstanding Attorney. Jackson Wright '23, Claire Markwalter '24, Audrey Smith '23, and Kathryn Steele '22 were named Outstanding Witness.
In early March, the team successfully took on Decatur High School in the first round of semifinals at Georgia State University's School of Law. They will now be competing in the Sweet Sixteen at the Gwinnett County Courthouse this coming weekend. Join us in wishing them good luck!
