Galloway welcomes new cohort of Humphrey Fellows
The 2019-2020 cohort of Humphrey Fellows recently arrived in Atlanta for a year-long professional experience. These public health professionals come from around the world for coursework at Emory University, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. While they are here, they also seek to promote cultural exchange.

As cultural ambassadors as well as health professionals, the Fellows are enthusiastic about sharing with our students. Over the past five years, Fellows have engaged with students at every level, showing traditional clothing and singing songs in EL, participating in the Happening, sharing personal life stories in world language classes, collaborating in art projects, sharing perspectives on perseverance and grit, and so much more.

Members of this year's cohort hail from Zimbabwe, Pakistan, Yemen, Botswana, the Central African Republic, Thailand, the Maldives, Ghana, South Korea, China, Guatemala, and Malaysia.

Our students and teachers are excited to have such accomplished scholars to enliven their classrooms during the 2019– 2020 school year, and we look forward to welcoming them on campus soon!
