Galloway Joins Global Online Academy

In his October message to parents, Head of School Dr. James Calleroz White announced that Galloway has joined Global Online Academy, a nonprofit educational consortium whose mission is to reimagine learning to empower students and educators to thrive in a globally networked society.

In addition to Galloway’s already robust course offerings, Upper Learning students will be able to take an even wider variety of courses online for credit with students from all over the world, starting in August 2020. GOA will also give our Middle Learning faculty access to mini-courses designed to supplement our existing curriculum that builds critical learning and life skills for our students. Middle and Upper Learning students will also have access to flex classes, which are short, interactive online classes about some of the most important issues facing the world today.

Not only does GOA give Galloway students the ability to foster intrinsic curiosity as they learn about the world around them, our faculty will also have the opportunity to participate in GOA's world-renowned professional learning programs as they seek to continuously improve their practice as modern educators, further fulfilling our mission to foster a lifelong love of learning.
