In the 2nd Year Policy division, the team of Jake Isenberg & Nora Perez-Rubio was undefeated in preliminary competition, advancing to elimination debates as the top seed with a perfect 5-0 record. Jake & Nora advanced through to Semifinals, finishing as one of the top four Sophomore teams in the entire state of Georgia.
In addition, both members of the team received Speaker Awards for their individual performance in preliminary competition, with Jake and Nora being ranked 5th and 2nd Speaker respectively.
“This was an incredible performance,” said Debate Coach Clay Stewart. “Not only did Jake & Nora advance with a perfect record, but their judges ranked each of them individually as among the best Sophomore debaters in the entire state of Georgia. Galloway Debate is definitely one of the teams to beat moving forward.”
