Fifth graders visited Camp Twin Lakes where they rode horses, learned archery, and practiced team-building exercises. Sixth graders walked along the beach at Jekyll Island where they learned about various sea creatures and their habitats. Seventh graders traveled to the Great Smoky Mountains where they hiked, went white water rafting, and ziplined! Eighth graders visited Selma, Birmingham, and Montgomery in Alabama where they toured meaningful Civil Rights monuments like the Edmund Pettus Bridge and the 16th Street Baptist Church.
Middle Learning’s week of experiential learning gave each student a chance to strengthen relationships with their peers, and provided a new awareness of their world - and the knowledge that learning can happen anywhere!
