Cross country season opener starts strong

The Galloway cross country team opened their season this past weekend at Bob Blastow’s Early Bird Invitational for the first 5k race of the year. Alandra Anderson '20 earned a medal placing 4th out of 112 runners with a time of 21:43, only three seconds behind her career best. The boy’s team was led by Michael Cully '20 whose time of 18:50 was good enough for 24th out of 177, helping catapult the team to sixth place overall. This year’s cross country team is less experienced than previous squads, but these young athletes have gone above and beyond during training and are already exceeding expectations.
