Andrew Tulowitzky Named Athletic Director of the Year for Region 5-A Private

Congratulations to Galloway's Athletic Director (Grades 9-12) Andrew Tulowitzky on being named Athletic Director of the Year for GHSA Region 5-A Private!

“Andrew’s time, dedication, and passion have been recognized by his peers, and this honor is well-deserved,” said Josh Matthews, who serves on the Georgia Athletics Director Association (GADA) Awards Committee.

Since Andrew joined the Galloway community in 2015, he has embodied the school’s mission to prepare students and athletes alike to confidently embrace challenges while developing the knowledge, skills, and cultural competence to thrive as enlightened contributors in their chosen pathways. Nearly 80% of Galloway students play at least one sport.

Known to his players and colleagues as Coach Tulo, Andrew led the Galloway varsity boys basketball team to the Sweet 16 championship in the 2020-21 winter season, finishing with the most winning record in the school’s history.

“I am so excited for Coach Tulo on this individual achievement, yet even more impressed with Tulo’s commitment to being a team player in building our athletics program. Creating a culture of integrity, leadership, and accountability in our athletes across all ten sports has been no small feat, and I love that he is being recognized for his hard work in accomplishing this,” said Galloway Head of School James Calleroz White.

Andrew’s award will be presented at the GADA Awards Ceremony on June 5. For more information on athletics at The Galloway School, visit gallowayscots.org.
