Galloway Family Hosts Two French Students

At the beginning of the current school year, the Dabbs-Tewari household welcomed two visitors from France, Antoine Le Provost and Baptiste Flao.

The back-story to this visit is interesting. Galloway students Liza and Clara Tewari visited their former Galloway teacher, Marion Guardelli, in France, where she is the English teacher in Sucy-en-Brie near Paris. Collège du Fort is the home school of Antoine and Baptiste, who have been studying English for the past six years. It's a small world after all! ML French teacher Nabila Peterson has a connection with Collège du Fort, and she arranged this visit.

While at Galloway, Antoine and Baptiste followed the schedule of Clara, who is in the ninth grade. They provided lively exchanges in classes, especially in the French classes, participating whole-heartedly in class activities and giving our students an authentic audience for their language acquisition.  Needless to say, many students at Galloway benefited from this international exchange!
