Community Weekend starts off school year and welcomes new Head of School

Community Cookout and sporting events bring the whole Galloway community together.

Beginning on Friday, Aug. 24, Community Weekend kicked off with the annual Community Cookout attended by nearly 700 parents, current and former board trustees, faculty and staff members, alumni and alumni parents. Everyone enjoyed a beautiful evening together under the stars with great food and drink as we officially welcomed Head of School Dr. James Calleroz White and his wife Dr. Mistalene Calleroz White.

The remainder of the weekend brought students, parents and teachers together to enjoy a variety of sporting events: a basketball tournament, the Elliott's Run 5K, a 1-mile fun run, and kickball and softball games. Entertainment also included a magic show by Ari Isenberg '20 and music by the UL Band and Dr. Barksdale. Many thanks to the Parents Association and Tartan Backers volunteers for organizing such a great event to start the school year.
