The Board sought a leader who deeply understands Galloway’s mission, values, and unique educational approach. As a Galloway alum, former trustee, and civic leader, Amir has a proven ability to bring people together and lead with vision. His leadership experience in nonprofit management, education policy, and philanthropy uniquely positions him to guide Galloway into the future.
The Board was preparing for a national search when Amir expressed interest in the role. Given his qualifications, deep connection to Galloway, and compelling vision for its future, the Board conducted extensive discussions, sought input from key stakeholders, and held multiple interviews. Ultimately, the Board determined that Amir was the best candidate and opted to move forward with his appointment rather than launching an external search.
No. Amir’s appointment allows Galloway to transition directly to new leadership. Current school leadership will continue to support the community during this transition.
Amir will officially assume his role as head of school July 1, 2025. In the coming months, Amir will be on campus meeting with faculty, students, and families to listen, learn, and build relationships. There will also be opportunities for community forums, Q+A sessions, and informal gatherings.
