The Board of Trustees will engage a search firm to lead an extensive national search for our next Head of School and to ensure we attract a range of qualified candidates. Our goal is to find a visionary leader who will continue to build on our strong legacy and share our dedication to our mission of joyful learning, inclusivity, and student-centered growth.  

Our goal is to fill this role during the 2025-26 school year, and we will keep you updated throughout this process.  

Dr. James Calleroz White will remain as Head of School through the end of this academic year. The Board has convened a search committee to identify an Interim Head for the 2025-2026 school year to ensure continuity throughout the transition. This committee has also been tasked with the search for Galloway’s next Head of School, who will begin in July of 2026.

This transition will not impact students’ education. Our focus remains on maintaining high standards of academics, arts, and athletics that define the Galloway experience.
