Elliott Galloway—founder and former headmaster of The Galloway School—wanted every member of the faculty and staff to know that this school is their school—this is their community, these are their students, this is their time for self discovery.
Our staff is well rounded: Teachers are also advisors. Coaches are counselors. Administrators are fans at sporting events. In that capacity, Galloway faculty sets themselves apart. We are a community of individuals who seek to promote the balance between freedom and responsibility, the idea of lifelong learning and the ambition to better yourself. Our students are encouraged to be adventurous learners and to think beyond the classroom. Galloway teachers don’t teach for the sake of tests, they teach for the sake of discovery.
