Fall

Galloway Outdoor Adventure Team (GOAT)

The Galloway Outdoor Adventure Team (GOAT) is back in action as a mountain biking racing team for the Fall of 2015. The GOAT club for mountain biking will be operating under the Georgia chapter of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association. This association has provided race organization, insurance, coaching training, and substantial resources for support of our GOAT team. There will be 4 races between September and November. We will hold training rides at least once during the week and once in the weekend. The dues include individual and team registration to the National Interscholastic Cycling Association, NICA race registration and jersey. All participants must have a mountain bike and helmet.

ML Ultimate Frisbee

Every Fall since 2006, Galloway Ultimate has competed in the Metro Area Middle School League, which has grown every year since its inception. We will typically have 3 days of Ultimate per week. The game schedule will not be set until late August, but will include about 10 weekday regular season games and an end-of-season tournament on the first or second Sunday of November. This is approximately 30 dates. Registration fees cover the cost of a jersey for each player, entry fee into the tournament, and coaching stipends.

UL Ultimate Frisbee

Galloway Ultimate has been competing against other Atlanta public and private schools since 2005. Unfortunately, Ultimate is a spring sport in Georgia, so our season is actually the off-season for our opponents. We still try to schedule as many scrimmages as possible. We will practice 2 days per week from mid-August through mid-October. Most likely we will have a weekend round robin tournament or two (3 games in a day) and a couple of weekday individual games. Registration fees cover the cost of a jersey for each player, tournament entry fees, and coaching stipends.

Archery Club

Galloway's Archery club team is in the Fall from September until early November and will have practices every Saturday from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Tournaments and practices are optional but it is recommended that you attend as many events as you can. Registration fees cover the cost of a jersey and range time.

The fall season runs from mid-August to late October. In August and early September, workouts are after school 3-4 days per week consisting of baseball skill development and strength training. Workouts will taper off to 1-2 days per week when the game schedule picks up in September and October. Dues cover league registration and community coach stipend.
