The varsity girls cross country team qualified for the GHSA State Meet for the fourth year in a row. Sami Krinsky '18, Sophie Crane '18, and Josie Fumo '18 earned the trip to the State Meet all four years of their careers. Krinsky finished 26th out of 121 runners and led her team to a ninth-place State finish out of 42 teams. Coach Beatty says, "I am very impressed with the team's overall performance at State, but I am most happy for the seniors to have reached the top 10 in one of Georgia's toughest classifications."
The varsity boys cross country runners are part of a legacy. Galloway has earned a State berth for 21 years in a row. Alex van Schoor '18 ran a remarkable race to capture fifth place at the State level at 17:32.66. Luke Murray '18 ran his best State race at 18:35.75 and reached the top 25 for the second time in his career. Coach Beatty says, "I was impressed with their vision and sights on being competitive and finishing 10th in Class A Private." Congratulations to both teams for a great race and finish at the State Meet. GO Scots!
