Upper Learning students Courtney Copeland '18, Danny Samuels '19, Mason Redler '19 and Brian Farmer '20 were recently selected to participate in the 21st Century Leaders Summer Youth Leadership Institute (SYLI). Held at the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, the highly selective week-long program allows high school students to explore the corporate world and develop their leadership skills through hands-on workshops, networking opportunities, and conversations with professionals.

Both Danny and Brian are active members of Galloway's Student Association, and Courtney holds several leadership positions including President of the Minority Empowerment Forum Club and Founder of an organization called Supply Circle, in which she collects school supplies and then personally delivers them to primary school students in Jamaica.

Courtney says, "I am honored to accept this opportunity which only a distinguished few Georgia high school students were offered. I am extremely excited to learn about what goes on behind the scenes of a successful business, but most importantly, I can't wait to embark on the networking opportunities and the great relationships that I expect to build through my interaction with peers and business ambassadors."
