The Galloway School Library helps students become lifelong learners and effective users of ideas, information and technology. We work in partnership with teachers to help students develop information literacy skills, solve problems creatively, and become avid readers.
The Galloway Library provides a rich variety of print and electronic resources for our students and faculty. The print collection includes over 20,000 books, 28 magazine subscriptions, and three daily newspapers. The Early Learning Library and the Middle and Upper Learning Library house a collection of over 750 videotapes and DVDs for faculty and class use. Galloway also provides access to more than 30 online databases and subscription services to help our community become thoughtful and informed users of information and ideas. Students are invited to use the library, check out materials, and return materials at any time during the school day. Click here to see our list of electronic resources.
The Galloway Library also hosts a variety of activities and events for Galloway's students. Younger students have participated in the Georgia Reading Bowl competition, Middle Learning gets to stay up for an All Night Read In and Upper Learning students hold poetry readings. The library also organizes visits by children's and young adult authors. Some authors who have spoken recently are Laurie Halse Anderson, Mike Lane, Jane O'Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser, and Allen Kurzweil.
